maternity benefit to JSA

Both myself and husband on JSA but I had our 3rd baby so have been on MB which runs out the end of the month. Looking into all options at the moment (not that there's many!)but I was just wondering if I don't resume jobseeking and become a stay at home mum what are the implications with regard to benefits and for my prsi record? Alternatively we will both keep looking for work and if I get work first, husband will still keep looking.
 
I would advise you to keep your PRSI record 'alive' by continuing to sign after MB finishes. This forum is full of tales of woe where people opted out of signing only to discover later on that they had cut off training options (FAS) and run down their PRSI 'credited' records so that they did not qualify for future benefits. Also, by signing on, you are getting 'credited' contributions towards future state pension entitlement which may not sound important now but will when you approach pension age!
