Maternity Benefit - taxable?

Hi all,

I'm self-employed and for the last three months of 2008 I was receiving state maternity benefit. I'm just wondering is this taxable and should I declare it in my Form 11?

AFAIK it is not taxable.

It depends on what PRSI class you are. E mail maternityben@welfare.ie with your PRSI no and they will write back if you are entitled to anything.
