Maternity Benefit & Husbands JSA

Hi ..... My husband is currently getting €113 per week JSA, he is means tested due to me working full-time (gross annual salary of €23,400) but I am now on maternity leave from this week - I qualify for €262 per week and do not receive any top-up from work. My question is should my husband now qualify for a higher JSA amount or would we be better off applying for FIS (This will be our 2nd child) - Also how much would we expect to receive from either the JSA payment or FIS or how can I calculate it myself? Hi Febgirl, FIS would give you 136euro per week based on current income. I think you would have to apply as husband would not get FIS while getting JSA. Not sure how much JSA he would get instead of you applying for FIS. If its much the same, might be better off with increase in JSA because they say it takes months for FIS to come through, although backdated.
