Match ball (autographed) for Ireland vs Hungary Match played in 19th March 1939

My grandfather gave me the match football from the 19th March 1939 international friendly between Ireland and Hungary which was held in Cork (Mardyke), and the final score was 2 all. My grandfather won it at a dance, and all of the players on both teams had autographed the ball.

I'm interested in knowing:
1. Who played on the teams
2. How best to preserve it / display it going forward

I would try Peter Byrnes book Football Association of Ireland: 75 years

I don't know where in Ireland you are but a quick search shows they have copies in the following Dublin libraries:
Ballymun
ILAC
Inchicore
Raheny

Might be worth a look, it was published in 1996 so it should have some information on the match you mention.

edit:Should be in shelf mark 796.334 ish if you want to check your local library
