Mastic gun...

Bizarre problem..bought some trade size tubes of adhesive....380ml as opposed to normal 310ml tubes....but now I can't fit the trade size tube into mastic gun....can anyone enlighten me as to what to do!
 
is the tubes too long or too thick. Ive never noticed a longer gun but you can get several different thicknesses. What make is the product?
 
Can't remember brand name....no issue with thickness....its that the tube is simply too long to go in
 
ive looked at a few we have and they will take sizes up to 400mm. Did you buy in a small hardware or one of the larger outfits (chadwicks, brooks etc)

I recall that you live in Cork? If so try Pat Mc Donnell's - they should have the right size mastic gun. Otherwise one of the builders' providers, but not the DIY places which are useless for things like that.
