Massage Therapy/Sports Injury Treatment Courses

What I am looking for are part time courses (probably weekends) offering practical or "hands on" guidance on massage for general relaxation and well being with perhaps a sports therapy side to it (or maybe the sports therapy would be stage two have completed an initial course).

No interest in chartered physiotherapy or becoming a physical therapist (both major time and money commitment) - this is more of a hobby type interest, I wouldnt see myself earning anything other than nominal amounts so not a career change thing.

The nearest I have seen so far is the NTC course "Neuromuscular Therapy incorporating Othopedic Sports Massage". However this might be more than I require or can commit to (15 weekends, €3,400).

If any suggested courses lead to a certificate or other qualification (however meagre) then that would be a bonus - just from the point of view of proving you had undergone instruction before offering to help out with a team already invovled with etc. (i.e. wouldnt really forsee presenting myself as potentially their physio - just offer to help out by giving a few rubs to those with general tight muscles, minor strains etc - a "rubber" as such).

Anyone any ideas? I've scoured the web & sent a few emails to people who might know so I'll provide an info I can come up with.

i know of people who did the ITEC in massage and physical whotsit and then continued on to do an ITEC sports massage course,
They are about half the price of the course you quote are done in lots of places.
