Mary McAleese does Gerry Adams

Re: Rebel, rebel

Whither someone is a Catholic or not should be irrelevant. Tommy made some very good points there.

You can be a Catholic and still be against the IRA, in the same way you can be an Italian and against the Mafia.
Catholics should - and usually are - able to tell the difference between good and evil just the same as anyone else.

Re: Am I a rebel?

Scratch me, yes, and I am a rebel.

Do I want Celtic to beat Rangers in the SPL? With a passion.

Do I want orange feet on the Garvaghy Road? No, never.

Did I like seeing Maggie handbagging poor Garret? I cringed.

Do I want a United Ireland? My heart says yes, my head says no.

And there's the rub. You can reason your mind free from the conditioning of your upbringing but your heart is lost forever.

Holy Mary has apologised for speaking from the heart. She has Madonna's forgiveness. Like Madonna she has got her head straight (work on it Asi) but like Madonna, at heart she is a Taig and she can't do a damn thing about it.

Re: Am I a rebel?

Is'nt he lucky ? To be the type of rebel that Asimov means
to be a terrorist, or at least a terrorist supporter, and if he was that it would be nothing to be proud of.
