Married Tax credits on the same wage?

Hi

i have read all the threads here re tax credits for married couples, but in all examples 1 person earns more than the other?
My husband and I both earn the same amount in the lower tax brackets, so i think we are better off not letting the tax office know and be assessed as normal as it only seems worth it if you earn within different brackets???
Can anyone advise?

You should be no worse off by opting for joint/aggregated married taxation and you could be better off now (although probably not) or in the future if either of you go into the high rate band. Try [broken link removed] to see if might make any difference now.
