A colleague of mine has given all her tax credits to her husband as they want to see what take home pay he would get if she gave up work. Currently they are both on the higher rate of tax.
Am I right in saying this won't show them what he would get if she gave up work as they'd have less credits if she did? Are they losing out in anyway by doing what they're doing?
