Hi apologies for posting this again but can anyone give a recommendation for a Property Management Agent in the Kildare area?

Also having looked at a few sites can anyone point me in the direction of where I will find how transparent a Management Agent has to be? As in what course of action can be taken if they havent been transparent, (aside from getting rid of them).

Many thanks

I have some experience of Falcondale in Newbridge they manage my development and find them good always available for questions. Not sure of other companies in the area.

Thanks XB,

They all promise the world but it really does come down to references/recommendations.

Are you not stuck with them unless a majority ofm the residents choose to change them

Your agent should be working with and for you, everything they do should be transparent. An "us and them" attitude should never arise as the agent is appointed by YOU to do what YOU want. One of their tasks is to keep you legal and advise you on any course of action you plan to take. If you haven't already, arm yourself with a copy of Robert Grogan's book "The Essential Guide to Apartment Living" I recommend this to all "my"** Directors.

Try and work with your current agent but if that has failed you need to bring it to an AGM/EGM and get a majority vote to change or bring them into line. This is assuming your complex has owner directors and not developer directors, it can be difficult to remove agents appointed by the latter (but not impossible).

** for the sake of disclosure, I'm a Managing Agent. I have no connection to Robert Grogan or his book
