Hi

Was just wondering is it possible to claim any tax relief on Management fees ? Is PPR.

Cheers

If you mean management fees payable to the managing a residential development (most likely via a management agent employed to do the day to day stuff) then no - these do not normally qualify for [broken link removed]. However if there is any portion of the charge attributable to local authority or private service charges (e.g. waste/refuse, water etc. payable on a group rather than an individual basis) then this portion may qualify for tax relief.

Thanks again Clubman.

I suppose the only way of doing that is to contact the Management company and ask for a breakdown of the fee ? Would this then suffice to add to a claim form to get tax back ?

Do you pay any local authority or private contractor charges (e.g. for refuse/waste management, water etc.) directly yourself already? If so then the chances are that you can get tax relief on these but not any any other management company charges (in part or full) that you pay. However, as you say, probably best to check with the management company as well just in case...

No only pay management fee (which is more than enough to be honest!!). Will give them a call and see what they say.

Cheers again Clubman
