Management Agent touting for business by sending flyers to all units?

We got a flyer in our door the other day from another Management Agent, it went to all the units in our development. They wouldn't have known that I am a director of our MC. Basically it tells how much they would save us on our fees.

It's total BS. We have tendered for agents annually, and our budgets are tightly managed. Our fees have come down year on year and are doing so again this year but invoices are due out next week and I'm worried that this is going to discourage people from paying.

Am SOOOOOOOOOOOO frustrated. We work our hearts out to keep the development running well and in a good financial situation. We are getting the best value at the moment. The other agent has a dreadful reputation but the average owner wouldn't have done enough research to know that.

Why don't you send a letter to owners out with your invoices explaining that despite flyers claims such as this you are confident that the management company ensure the best possible value for money by competitive tendering etc.

I am sure your neighbours will be more likely to trust your version than some company who knows nothing about them or their development. Most people will barely glance at unsolicited brochures anyway and any neighbours who are that concerned about the level of fees will probably be well aware of your hard work behind the scenes.
