Maldives in June

Hi all, my husbands 40th birthday is in June and I want to treat him to a lovely, relaxing holiday. I would love to take him to the Maldives but I have read it's not the best time to travel as it may rain. I don't fancy travelling all that way to be rained on!!
Any advice!!
Any other suggestions of exotic places to travel that time of year. I plan to spend 7-10 days away
 
you would be better off going to the CArribean that time of year. Nov-April is the best time for the Maldives.

We went in Sep (originally planned for Nov but had to pull it forward) and although the holiday was great, the random HEAVY rain showers put a dampner on it
