making an offer on a house - help?!

Hey

Myself and my boyfriend are in the middle of applying for a mortgage and are looking at a house that is priced at €175k.

How do you know how low you should go when making the offer?

I'm trying to get this as low as possible as its looking likely that our mortgage (if approved) will only be for €138k.

We have approx €20k in savings.

Any advice would be great. Thanks

Doing a search for this would be the first thing to do, its constantly asked on this site:


It depends wildly based on what you think the place is worth, how much other houses in the area are going for, how quickly the current owners need to sell etc. Without any details its very hard to say
