Out of interest, phoenix_n, are you looking to buy primarily as an investment or is it to use? Based on cost per square metre, prices in Madrid and Barcelona are comparable to Dublin these days, yet the wages are a fraction of thoses possible in Dublin. Due to the greater strain on affordability I think that the property market in Spain could get hit quicker and harder as interest rates continue to rise.

yeah I concur with Afuera, in addition afaik rents are much lower too.
