If you mean Madeira I was there in December. I rented a cottage through www.holiday-rentals.co.uk This didn't turn out too good. There are lots of really nice hotels but they can be really expensive. Funchal is a lovely city. Much bigger than I thought. We got the local bus from the airport for a couple of euro, a taxi was about €30. Also local buses go everywhere but the rides are scary. Roads clinging to the sides of cliffs type of thing. At one point we were looking DOWN on a rainbow. Weather was great with some light rain. Short sleeve weather. Lots of information on the Tripadvisor forum including some postings by myself.
