Made redundant July can I claim tax back

Can I claim tax back as I was made redundant in July,or is there a period of time I have to wait,should I do it next January

Not 100% on this but i think you have to wait until the end of the tax year. Open to correction on this

This form may be relevant to you- it allows a person who has paid tax to reclaim the equivalent of their monthly tax credits back during a period of unemployment.
There is a waiting period of 4-8 weeks from the date you become unemployed depending on whether or not you are receiving certain social welfare payments (the form has info about this).
