hi,

I have been thinking of purchasing a laptop for a while now and would very much welcome anyone's opinion on the Macbook Pro 15" display.

i have a mac mini at the moment - not an intel chip - i have it now about 2 years and has never given me any trouble.

i will stick to apple because for me they are far easier to use than a windows based machine. i don't want to start a mac versus windows thread it's just i prefer a mac.

anyway if any poster's have a macbook pro i'd welcome a review. the macbook's 13" screen is a little off putting for me hence the Pro choice.

thanks in adance.

Don't buy a macbook pro until whatever new product announcements are made at the Macworld expo next week - there are strong rumours of a wholesale change to Apple's laptop lineup.

An excellent reliable computer, a bit bulky for use in planes (the 12" Powerbook was much more compact). Fast with a great screen and keyboard. New laptops expected from Apple next week, but you should have a look at the Apple store website and check what refurbished Macbook Pros are on offer [http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/irlstore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=AA9C1547&nclm=Certified]
- I bought mine about 14 months ago refurbished, got extra RAM and saved about 400 Euro. Runs Windows XP without any difficulty but I rarely bother as the MacOS apps are fine.
