MABS:Do they only deal with people in debt

Hi all,

Do MABS only deal with people in debt, or do they advise how to cut down on spending/budget/save?

They cover more than Debt, although it's probably fair to say that it's mostly people with Debt issues that feel the need to go to them.

If you go to www.mabs.ie they have some leaflets and a budget calculator that might be of some help to you.

Just got off the phone from them now, very helpfull. Its great ot talk to someone whol has experience of dealing with all types of problems, and they know the best way of approaching your proble, They can also act of your behalf and talk to your creditors for you. Give them a call.

MABS are indeed a great organisation.

The only problem is that as far as I can tell, if a FI hears you have consulted them and consequently you want to make 'arrangements', they down grade you immediately!

What's an FI? Financial Intermediary aka broker/multi-agency intermediary/authorised advisor etc. perhaps?

not to second guess, but I think it can be assumed to be Financial Institution
