M 50 Tol

I am having an aurgument with my wife at present could you please settle it (in my favour of course)
Travelling from Cork. She says friends told her there is still a system in place to pay at the tol gate on the M50. I understood that it had to be paid for by tickets or telphone and that the barriers had gone

There are no toll barriers on M50, you're correct!

There are no toll barriers on the M50, it is done electronically if you have an account, or via the telephone or online afterwards if you dont.

There are toll barriers at Watergrasshill and I think outside Port Laoise as well

Once you have gone through the toll you have till 8pm next evening to pay it.You can pay in any topaz garage.

And there is nothing better than been right especially against the wife.

Other than the toll is sign-posted you would not even know you had passed it. The only way to pay going through it is if you have the internet account or an easi-pass type system - no gate though.
