I live near but not in the area so I can't comment in detail. Only thing I do know is that there may be parking issues with whichever one is on the main road due to proximity to the train station . . . apart from that I'd take a spin around in the evening, at the weekend etc see what the vibe is for each...
being close to the train station (2min walk).great on a rainy morning.
its about 7-8mins walk to the shops and pub.
5mins walk to riverwood tennis courts
its a quiet estate.
close to 37 bus stop
disadvantages
monday to friday people parking outside the estate for the train station.
cant think of any other disadvantages.
Luttrellstown
close to pubs and shops
close to 37 bus stop
5mins walk to riverwood tennis courts
quiet estates
close to porterstown pitches - good for a kick about or going for a run
disadvantages
further from train station (from spar at carpenterstown u'll need to give yourself at least 10mins to get to platform unless you want to be sweating the entire train journey to town.
both equally nice places to live and would be very hard to pick one over the other. it will all depend on price and type of house your looking for.
luttrellstown has lovely 4 bed houses that have come down quiet a bit in the past year.
