Hi all,

I got the dreaded LPT letter, it had the details for me to login to the webpage and pay both my properties (1 residential, 1 rental).

My residential property is jointly owned with my partner, so should he have also got a letter in the post or how does it work for joint ownership?

Also can i just ask, the tax is based on the value of property. Does this include the land it was purchased with or is it just the value of the property, so not including the land?

When you log on to the LPT website using your login details there is a section for adding in other owners details. You just need their PPS number

The value is the value. Can the house be sold without the land ie possibly without an entrance way? Unlikely anyway.

Did you read the guidelines?

Thanks sahd for clarifying that.

Petermack, i just logged in there and had a look and my partners name is actually down as a registered property owner, but how come he didn't get a letter in the post? Isn't it strange that the full amount is being billed to my pps number when he is listed as co-owner?

Also they don't seem to have put a value on my home, it's a fairly new build but had a look on the map to get the value and it's going to be apx €400 a year for us.....holy crap, that's going to cripple me. I'm so angry that this is bring forced on us....another days argument i guess!
