LPT: Is NPPR is still being charged on an annual basis?

Hi there!

I'm hoping someone can help me out here.

I own a second property and have therefore being paying the NPPR charge on it since it's introduction. With all the talk of the new property tax there has been no mention of the NPPR and whether the property tax replaces this or is in addition to this.

I obviously have my assumptions about it given that I can't imagine the government not wanting to take as much as they can from us but it just seems a bit ridiculous (even for this country) to have people pay the two taxes.

Can anyone confirm if the NPPR is still being charged on an annual basis?

I am due to pay it again now.
Thanks!

The NPPR will continue to apply for 2013 but will be abolished from 2014 onwards, so from next year on you'll only pay the Local Property Tax on any property you own.

Do we pay the NPPR for all of 2013 or just half of the NPPR? We have to pay LPT for 6 months of 2013?
