LPT - Deduction from SW payment.

I see that a person on Social Welfare can opt to have their property tax deducted from their SW payment. The Disability Allowance is €188.

Did I read on the LPT explanation booklet that you cannot make a LPT payment that would make your SW payment drop below €186 per week. In other words you are only allowed to make a €2 payment per week toward the LPT from your Illness benefit?

Incidentally are you even allowed to have a deduction from an Illness Benefit?

An LPT deduction cannot be made from Illness Benefit.

That will force some people to take the deferral whether they like it or not and at 4% interest.
