LPT - Date of purchase, drew down my mortgage in very late 2012.

As a first time buyer I drew down my mortgage in very late 2012 (between Christmas and New Year) and was able to avail of TRS as a result.

Would the date of mortgage draw down also be considered the purchase date in relation to LPT? Or would the date of purchase be when the deeds were transferred or some other date?

You closed the sale in 2012. You get the TRS but you won't get the LPT exemption.

The LPT exemption was introduced to reduce the losses of those who lost the TRS.
