Currently three entities have engaged to offer this service (approved payment service providers):
  • An Post/Postpoint at any outlet
  • Omnivend at self service kiosks in various locations
  • Payzone at shops and outlets displaying the logo.

I opted to pay by DD on a phased basis. I presume that this means monthly or quarterly (similar to the household charge) but the documentation doesn't seem to clarify. Neither does it say if there is any surcharge/service charge for doing it this way so I'm assuming there won't be any additional cost and that it will simply be tax due / n where n is the number of payment periods?

Thanks. Just noticed that Revenue DO clarify the DD timing here after all:

In the options to pay cash on the form it gives weekly and monthly, can you not just pay the lot in the post office when due? How come there isn't an annual box and I presume you still could just pay it that way?

question what not deduct at source to bypass the fees

Just looking trough the options. The best option for me to deduct at source from my pay and there is no extra chrges on it that i can see. This is then spread trough the reminder of the year and next years charge spread across 12 months

Most importantly in jan not looking for lump sum along with everthing else due in jan.

Or am I missing something?

Why not just pay by monthly direct debit?
If it's because of DD transaction charges then switch to PTSB for transaction fee free banking.
