Lowest cost way to transfer small amount of money to Ukraine?

An acquaintance of my family, a Ukrainian refugee, is looking to transfer a small amount of money to support her husband in Ukraine. She experienced delays getting a current account open due to long waiting lists. She got an account opened in her local Credit Union. But she cannot transfer by EFT to Ukraine as Ukraine is outside the SEPA area. She enquired with Western Union but the fees involved would have swallowed a huge percentage of the amount transferred.

Any ideas please?

Revolut will allow funds transfers of up to €1,500 per day into Ukrainian bank accounts.

As an aside, their co-founder and Chief Technology Officer happens to be Ukrainian.
