Lost Car Registration Documents

Hi! I'm supposed to pick up my new car tomorrow, but I've been hunting for the car registration documents of my present car, today, but can't find them anywhere. What happens in this situation? Is it possible to get new registration documents for my present car. I have paid a deposit on the new car and the garage is pressurising me to come and pick it up as soon as possible.

Would really appreciate some advice on this?

I too lost my VLC for my old car, u need to go to tax office, pay fee of €12 if memory serves me correctly and wait for shannon to get back to you. Think its about a week, there is a thread here on it as I wrote on it before.

No way will garage exchange without this piece of paper. At least in my case they wouldnt. New one will say its a replacement document.
