Lost baggage - 2 travel insurance policies, claim on both?

Hi folks,

so just returned from hols and all my luggage has gone missing, havent completely given up hope of getting it back yet but have been working out the value of contents etc. I reckon the value would be circa € 2500.

I have 2 insurance policies, one annual multi trip where the lost baggage allowance is € 1500 and another policy I forgot I had taken out when I booked my trip where the lost baggage allowance is € 1900, so my question is can I claim say € 1900 on one policy and the balance of € 600 on the other policy?

Read the terms & conditions of each policy to check. I would imagine that you can only claim on one or other policy for any single incident.

just got a call to say the bags have been located in Chicago thank god, should be in Dublin this afternoon.

Had checked the terms and conditions of both policies and couldnt find anything relating to my query, luckily dont need to worry about it now!
