Looking to buy my ex out of a house which is in negative equity

Me and my ex have a joint house (and mortgage) which is in negative equity.

I am looking to the option to buy him out.

Does anyone have any good advise on the proceedings, on what I should be prepared to? I have contacted my bank on this too, and am waiting for further information. I am not sure if my monthly income will be enough for the bank to agree to this.

Any ideas/suggestions?
