Looking for somewhere near Holyhead for an overnight family trip

I have it my head to bring my five-year old (and herself of course!) on the ferry to Holyhead and to spend a night somewhere nearby. Could bring the car but would prefer not to, so thinking of soemewhere nearby on a train route, preferably with some attractions for children.

Anyone any ideas?
 
Chester zoo. It's brilliant. You can get the train and then bus.
It's quite expensive. I think it's about £18 per adult but if you happen to be a member of Dublin zoo you can get in free.
It's a really lovely zoo with loads to see and do. I'd recommend it

I'd agree with Chester zoo it is a great day out! :) a tad expensive but well worth it..
