Looking for overcoat buttons

I need to get 5 or 6 black or grey plastic buttons for a man's overcoat. 3 of the 4 buttons on it are damaged.

I've been looking online without much success. I can get them from UK, but the postage costs double the buttons price.

Anyone know of an Irish supplier of buttons?

Hickeys fabric shops sell buttons. Also any shops that sell wool would probably have a good selection, my local woolworth's equivalent sells lots so small shops selling haberdashery type stuff have them too.

If you are in Dublin, wbbs is right, Hickeys have a big selection of buttons in all colours and sizes.

Where are you based ? If not Dublin, let us know where you live and someone should be able to suggest a local shop.

If there is a shop in your area that sells knitting wool-and they do seem to be making a comeback-they usually stock a good selection of buttons.

Some of the Charity shops keep large jar of mixed buttons in their shops. You might be lucky

You could also try an alterations shop.

Big selection on ebay.ie mostly from China admittedly but seem to have free p&p, 2 to 5euro for 10 large buttons, various styles etc.
