Recently decided to get with the times and strip the wallpaper in the last three rooms (living in a 1960s bungalow).

Will need to baton and replaster a hallway and a small bedroom then fix up the odd spot in a larger room.

Guessing about 2 to 2.5 days work for any decent plasterer with helper.

Anyone have rough indications for going rates per day for a plasterer with helper in Dublin ?

Thanks

A plasterer earns about Eu700 take home pay for a 39 hour week. A plasterer's mate about Eu600. Insurance and holidays are also paid. Soooo, I imagine that a self employed pair would be about 50% on top of that - taking into consideration the short termism of the job. However most plasterers will quote you for a job.

It would be lovely if we could pay them their take home pay !!!

Allow 300 per day cash for plasterer & mate - add 35% if going through the books

Hard to quantify it but for 2 weeks work, a plaster and 1 labourer charged us 5500 euro for the house.

From work we got done recently, we paid approx €350 per room cash in hand

Householders (who are not building contractors or otherwise within the RCT net) are not obliged to operate RCT on payments to tradesmen.
