A Chairde,

I am helping my friend sell his property in Kinvara,Galway, as he is working abroad , and was wondering if anyone has experience of this area.

Anybody know a good auctioneer down there, I am based in Dublin , and would not be able to go go back and forward to Galway, also wondering what auctioneer percentage for selling property is in that region.

Have,nt a clue about this, so any help would be much appreciated.

Look at the Galway advertiser property section, goodle to get the weblink, here you will find ads for practically all Galway auctioneers and take your pick.

Try RE/Max Property West, Tuam Road, Galway. 091 73 50 60.

I've used them for lettings and to sell a property and found them very good.

Hi,
there are several auctioneers in the village:

1 called Casey who is an Independent guy and has been around the longest
2. there is Sherry Fitz -in Kinvara approx 1 year
3. Brian MacMahon (DNG)- new as well but run by a local man

There are also several in Gort, who do alot of sales in Kinvara (one called McInerney).

I would stay clear of the ones in Galway City as they don't know the market as well and might not have the clients who are looking in Kinvara. When you are looking in the advertiser just be aware that some houses are noted to be in Kinvara when they are quite a distance, if you are looking at values.

Of the 3 in Kinvara I would recommend Casey. He sold a house for my brother and I know a few more people who dealt with him they say he's ok. He's got a very good reputation for being honest and he's there the longest. I don't know much about Sherry Fitz I think the kinvara office is just a sub-office of the Gort branch and the DNG fella has a bad name around.

Sorry, maybe a bit late, visit [broken link removed] - have been dealing with property in Kinvara, Gort etc.. since I was a kid, others are new to game
