Hi all,
we are nearing completion on the purchase of our first home. Old 2 storey farmhouse in Kerry - delightful baptism of fire (!) and we are trying to prioritise the works needed.
House has a small conservatory to the front - structually sound but approx. 60 -70% of all glass panels (side windows & small top windows) have water inside them
While we joke about our 'fishtank water feature' we would like to treat the windows temporarily to improve the look until we can replace fully.
I have heard of process of drilling 2 small holes (top & bottom) with a diamond drill bit, cleansing solution forced through to remove water staining etc and plugging the holes.
Does anyone know of Irish company doing this (and that would be insured in the event of the glass shattering!)?
We know its only a temporary measure, we just want to improve aesthetics until we can afford to repace (4yrs time by looks of things).
Thanks!
