Long Term Investment

I have recently found myself in a position where I have approximately €1000 per month to invest. I am not too sure where to invest it. Any suggestions? I have looked at Choice Investments from the EBS but am wondering if this is the best option. Would the charges be less if I went straight to Irish Life as it is invested through them? Also are the charges calculated on what you invested per year or is it on the total investment plus profit for the year.

Not quite the answer your looking for but have you a pension set up. You could invest almost 1,800 gross (subject to revenue rules) in a pension cost approx 1,000.
You could offset the pension against last years tax provided you do so before 30th Oct.
