Long Revenue response time on form 12 submission

Have submitted my tax return (form 12) in January.
No word from revenue until end of Feb, so enquired if they need anything else.
They came back quickly asking for paperwork on EU interest (N26 savings account), which I submitted on the enquiry thread.
That was 4 weeks ago. Followed up on the enquiry thread twice if they need anything else to process my tax return but silence.

Surprised as usually the tax returns only took days to be processed.

Hence wondering if this is a general issue, or if it is worth calling them (given the lack of response on the enquiry).

Have eu interest and some medical expenses. Wifey has same issue, she only also has some N26 interest but nothing else and it has been over a month.

Thoughts?

In recent years my experience has been it can take weeks or months for them to respond to queries submitted via myAccount. If they even do at all without repeated badgering.
 
There are huge backlogs and they do some form of triage to prioritise urgent stuff. A delay of a month is nothing to them.

You could indeed ring them but from what you've posted, it doesn't seem to be an urgent issue so you might be just as well waiting.
 
Appreciate the responses. Not too urgent alright but I expect a small some of money back, and my wife the guts of 3-4K due to her last year's work situation.
Not money we depend upon, but better in my pocket than Revenue's. And I'd like to be able to forget about last year's tax and be done with it.
