anyone know if i would have any chance of being considered for affordable housing or an affordable site from my county council..i am a lone parent with one child in cork..from september onwards i will be in full time permanent employment..i will be earning approx 19k from my job and with the rest of my social welfare entitlements it will bring my earnings up to about 25k..i do not have any loans and i currently live with parents..i do not know where to start with all this and any advice would be greatly appreciated..thanks

I'm also a lone parent on the affordable list in Dublin, i Don't know what the rules are in yor council, in Dublin you have to be in full time employment for 6 months, salary minimum 25k, so your alright there.
Check this with your local council and my advise is to act quick when your eligibility kicks in.
