London travel passes, where is best to get them?

Hi,
am going to London soon, and have got those London tube travel passes from that British Tourist place on Dame street, but they are working out kind of expensive for four days.
Are they cheaper to buy when you get to London?
Also can you travel on the buses with them?
What do you recommend?

You should be able to get a day travel card at any/most tube stations around london. Have a look on [broken link removed] you should find all the info you need.
