London Southend Airport to city SE1 0LR

Advice for transfer from Southend Airport to Union Street - day trip next week. Not an expert on London. So any advice much appreciated ...

https://www.thetrainline.com/ to waterloo. Southend to Liverpool st station is 55 minutes and take it from there.

Out the front door of the airport, station is directly across from you, into Liverpool St station, there is a bus from there to Blackfriars Road in Southwark, close to Union Street (the 388) but it will probably be quicker to hop on the Underground, get the Circle line to Blackfriars and walk across the river to Southwark.
