London - reasonably priced accommodation for 8-9 weeks?

My son is finishing college in May and has a internship in London from for a couple of months in the summertime. Just wondering if anyone could advise where to look for reasonably priced accommodation for short term in London?

any advice would be much appreiciated.....

Have a look ar www.spareroom.co.uk My daughter used this site to relocate for a graduate job in North london. The min term let is stated on the ad
Accomodation goes very fast though so he may need to go a couple of weeks ahead of start date to get sorted

This article recently in the Times travel mag is useful for London accomodation - [broken link removed]
It gives websites to check for college university accomodation since they often rent it out during the summer months. The bookings website for University College London is ucl.ac.uk/residences. For other colleges, see budgetstayuk.com
