Hi I was just wondering if anyone could recommend an area to stay for the rugby in London St. Patrick's weekend? We will be there for three nights so would like to be where the action is after the game but not necessarily near Twickenham as we want to be fairly central too, thanks a million

Anywhere in Central London really. I like the Baker Street/Regents Park area but that's just personal taste. Wouldn't really want to be dead central. The lower the postcode the more central is the basic rule.

Richmond is supposed to be a nice area - walking distance to Twickenham or one stop on the train I think. Suss out what's going on in London for that weekend - try http://www.visitlondon.com/ or http://www.londontown.com/ Probably a good weekend to be staying in the city !
Have a look also at the London forum on Tripadvisor - your query has probably been posted before. We have been to Twickenham a few times but we try to flush out deals with a decent hotel in the city first - with good tube links to Waterloo where you get the train out to Twickenham. The train station is obviously packed after the match but it is well organised and supervised and the queues move along quite quickly - the trains just keep coming !

THanks a million for the replies. Just one more question what are the pubs to go to after the match?
