Log / Wooden Houses

Has anyone used or got any opinions on [broken link removed] type of houses.

It's a new one on me and wondering if there are significant pros/cons regarding costs, thermal/noise insulating etc.

Heard of them, supposed to be quite good but the price is just crazy. Your talking a 80/90 euro per foot square before you have got around to the electrics, plumbing, kitchen etc. But then again i would say its very high standard just the price puts me off

The brother-in-law has one of these up about 1500 metres in Switzerland.

Very warm even with a metre of snow outside.

No idea on cost as he had it built several years ago and Swiss costs really wouldn't be relevant anyway.

there,s a firm in co. cork as well, macroom i think. saw them advertise in the national press for the last few weeks. they look really cool, dunno about costs
