Location, Location, Location

This forum has a lot of threads that focus on investment locations, rather than on investment principles. Can the location focused investment threads not be confined to the "Location, Location, Location" forum, keeping this forum for threads on property investment topics that are not location focused.

I suppose this is a question primarily for the moderators, but maybe other posters could share their views if they find the mix in this forum too broad.

It's an interesting idea. It's not always easy to get the different forums right.

I would have thought that anything to do with Property Investment would be in this forum - tax, landlord issues and the best places to invest.

I would have thought that Location, location, location was aimed more at people buying homes rather than investments.

Agree that L,L,L as it stands may not be the best target either. I use the Mortgages and Home Buying forum a lot, and find the separation between it and L,L,L a good split.

I have thought for some time that a similar split would work well on the investment property side, and maybe that can be done by leaving the existing L,L,L alone, and creating a new forum for L,L,L with an investment slant.

I can certainly see how it is difficult to get the splits right, but in fairness I think you've done it quite well.
