Local Area Connection - A network Cable is unplugged.

The tasbar tray on this computer shows the above message. Should I be concerned and how can I fix it. I am connected
through Smart using Linksys wireless router.

It just means that the you are no longer connected to the DSL router by the network cable.
 
You can get rid of the message if you want:
  • Start -> Control Panel -> Network Connections
  • Right click on the relevant network connection (i.e. the wired ethernet one that is reporting the unplugged cable) and choose Properties
  • Clear the Notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivity checkbox
  • Click OK
