Well without treading into LOK bashing I wonder what's so different about Sardinia, it's not as if the island just dropped into the Med yesterday out of thin air. Why haven't values appreciated previously and what's changed that they'll start appreciateting now (in the middle of a property led credit crunch).

In fact if this is all the Late Late can offer, put on more repearts of Father Ted or Fools and Horses
I guess that Sardinia is a beautiful place, with a lovely climate and a charming population but from a purely financial standpoint how does this location stack up in terms of return on investment, rental income and capital appreciation?
Liz was asked a question for which she offered a reply. She wasn't there prostituting her beliefs on Sardinia, but gave an answer to a stupid question.
Agreed.
I have never found LOK creditable and what she was on the programme last night for, I do not know. She made mainly some baffling comments like 'look at the size of the EA's notepaper on the internet sites' - strange.
Surely the late late can draw bigger people than this.
And to be fair she never mentioned EA's notepaper on the internet. What she did say was that in her opinion advertising your house in the newspapers is a waste of time. Her point was that in a way you are paying to advertise the EA's brand because the dominant thing on the page is their logo while your property blends in with the 20 or 30 there also.
I think she did make some valid points such as allowing multiple EA's sell the one property as it is in certain countries. Whoever sells the property gets the commission
more importantly one must factor in the risk that the low fare airlines might pull the plug on sardinia and the ilk compared to the tried and trusted markets like iberia etc etc.
Good point. If Ryanair pulled out of Sardinia, the place would suddenly become remote. At least on the Italian mainland, there would always be alternatives.
