Livingstone/victoria falls to Dar Es Saleem

Hi,

Does anyone know the best way to travel from Livingstone (Zambia) to Kapiri Mposhi and then onto Dar Es Saleem (Tanzania) - the train from Kapiri Mposhi to Dar Es Saleem only goes twice a week so if we miss it, we're stuck!

According to the usually reliable Seat61 site you can get a train from Livingstone to Kapiri Mposhi 3 days a week ... takes 18hrs

In theory if you can believe the timetables - which I'd highly doubt - it should work as follows:

You could leave Livingstone 0900 Monday .. arr. KM 0250 Tuesday .. depart 1735 Tuesday and arrive in Dar 1000 Thursday

I'd fly :)

Don't spend much time in Dar Es Salaam - it's a hole ... head to Zanzibar
