Livingstone ( Vic Falls ) to Cape Town

HI,

I am travelling to Johannesburg in october. I am taking a 6 day safari that ends at Victoria Falls. I am looking for ways to get to Cape Town. I think a near airport is Livingstone. I have looked at the net and there seems to be few direct flights.

Any alternative ideas ?
 
There is a Victoria Falls airport, in Zimbabwe.

I flew from Vic Falls directly to Cape Town years ago, but according to the wikipedia page for Vic Falls airport, there are no direct flights to Cape Town, only Joburg, these days.
 
Plenty flights from both Livingstone (Zambia side) or Vic Falls Airport (Zim side) but only to Jo'burg - at least daily flights from both airports.

Check South African Airways, British Airways (Comair their South African Affiliate) and Nationwide Airlines.

There are no direct services to Cape Town as far as i know - You'll have to fly to Jo'burg and internal flights to Cape Town are very frequent and pretty cheap (2 hr flight)

any thoughts on getting a train to cape town from j burg, or is that just wasting time ?
 
Agree with the Doc; you couldn't pay me to take a normal train in SA!
