we are thinking about moving to safer and quieter place. the estates in these areas are really nice and afforable. anyone has idea which area is better for raising kids? thanks a lot!

well, there is a newly developed area around IKEA in Finglas, wonder if there is the ideal place to live and raise kids?

All three places mentioned are pretty large with good and bad places to live..

have you any particular area in mind in each of the three locations?

You also need to look at where would suit you best in terms of commuting to work if this is required. Clondalkin and Finglas are on different sides of Dublin with some parts of Clondalkin benifiting from the LUAS.

Agreed you really need to be more specific about the area. For example, Finglas East is not too bad to live in, but large parts of Finglas West wouldn't be the best (or safest) place.

thanks for you guys to reply. i got a property that is located nearby Citywest Business Campus, Citywest gym and Citywest Shopping Centre -and the quaint village of Saggart Village within walking distance.

It locates in city west; i am not a local, and have no idea if this area is settled and secure, sounds brilliant, but still need some advices. thanks in advance.

You'll prob get a good deal in CityWest but IMHO opinion its in the middle of nowhere, beside only the shopping centre, and too close to Jobstown. Traffic might be an issue and public transport isnt up to much.

Do a search on this site for CityWest, there are loads of threads on it...
