Over this weekend for the match and have time there on Sat so meeting friends in Liverpool St Station or a pub near by.
Any recommendations for good pubs near the train station on a Sat afternoon/ Also going to head to Covent Gardens(I know touristy and done it ages ago but cannot remember) any good decent pubs around Covent Gardens for 3 Blokes.
A decent London boozers as we are all grown men allegedly
In Covent Garden area if you like your real ales then The Harp is great - http://www.harpcoventgarden.com/ .. it's pretty small, but if the weather is decent out front is a nice place for a beer in the sun
The Porterhouse in Covent Garden is very large and not bad at all - not much point in going there if you're coming from Dublin though as it's exactly the same as the Dublin ones !
Liverpool Street - walk away from the station , nothing that nice nearby .. As suggested the area around Spittalfields (5 min walk) is probably best or slightly further up towards Shoreditch if you're feeling hipster enough ! .. The immediate vicinity of the station doesn't have any nice pubs I know of and also as it's in the City (financial district) the whole area is pretty dead at the weekend.
